Our History

The history of Torry United Free Church is bound up with the history of  Torry, and the history of the Church in Scotland.

Its origins are in the great Disruption of 1843; the union with the United Presbyterians in 1900; and then in 1929 when many of the UF went back to the Church of Scotland the UF (Continuing) came to the fore. That is our story. But also a story of work and witness in what was a small fishing village that became the large community we now are.
