After Mr. Young left, Rev. Peter MacLeod was called to Torry and was inducted in June 1947
During his ministry, the Revival Hour was started on Saturday evenings as an outreach meeting. The young people of the congregation formed a choir and testimonies were given.
Five evangelistic campaigns were held during Mr. MacLeod’s ministry and much blessing ensued. Three missionaries went from the congregation to serve the Lord in Africa and India at this time. They were Isobel Johnston, Zena Freeland and Ian Hayes. Mr. MacLeod also encouraged Rev. James H. Alexander to enter the ministry.

After ten years of fruitful ministry, Mr. MacLeod left in 1957, to be followed in 1958 by
Rev. Albert Petrie who ministered to the congregation for twelve years.
This ministry took place in “the swinging sixties”- a time of great social change and upheaval. Mr. Petrie was faithful to the word of God and was a fine preacher and pastor. The area round the church was changing. Many of the congregation were moving to other areas, and new people were moving into Torry. A new housing scheme was being built in Balnagask and visitation was carried out in both areas.
