Torry U.F. Church
At the time of the Disruption in 1843, a Free Church was established in Torry in a wooden building situated on the Torry bank of the River Dee.
As the congregation grew, there was a need for larger premises, and in 1865 the congregation moved to a church in Sinclair Road.
Soon this church was too small for the growing congregation. In 1890 a new church was built in Victoria Road. In 1900 the Free Church united with the United Presbyterian Church to form the United Free Church of Scotland.
At the union of the United Free Church & the Church of Scotland in 1929, approximately 130 members of this congregation formed the (Continuing) Torry United Free Church. At first they met in The Central Mission Hall in Sinclair Road, until the present church building was erected in Grampian Road.
From this place the church has served Christ and the community seeking to proclaim Jesus in word and deed.
